| Description: | The Summer/Fall Season at Rentschler Farm
runs from the first Saturday of May through early December. After late September, the outbuildings are closed but the farmhouse remains open. The Depot Museum
is open year round. During regular hours, free Guided Tours for Individuals and for Families at either museums. Ask to see the Gift Shop and Salvage Barn at the farm. Groups larger than ten MUST have a reservation and there is a small fee of $1 per person with a $50 minimum, payable at the time of scheduling. Schedule groups at least two weeks ahead.
Both museums offer ongoing Special Exhibits. |
| Directions: | Rentschler Farm is at 1265 E. Michigan Ave. (one mile east of downtown Saline). Enter through the shopping center and park within the farm complex.
Saline Railroad Depot Museum is at 402 N. Ann Arbor Street, just four blocks north of downtown Saline and near the corner of Bennett Street (traffic light). |

| Description: | This is the first of three Fall Education Programs. Society Business Member MARY LINDQUIST, of Quilting Seasons will bring traditional quilts and talk about their significance. We are encouraged to bring a quilt or two, also. Tables will be available for the folded quilts. We will meet in the Rentschler Exhibit Barn.
Education Programs are always free and everyone is welcome. |

NEW DAY ~~ NEW TIME: This seasonal event moves to Sunday and offers good times for all ages. Take a wagon ride from the adjoining shopping center, where you can park free. See our live animals, farm gardening, demonstrations, displays, traditional crafters, and things for children to enjoy. Visit each of the farm buildings and tour the farmhouse, which is interpreted as a family might have used it in the 1930s. The new Farm Gift Shop includes books on Saline history, as well as locally crafted gifts.
Entertainment: Saline Area Players will perform short skits. The Tin Penny Band performs period music starting at 1:30.
Please Note: The outbuildings will be closed after this date, but visitors may walk around the farm complex and read large signage in front of each building. The farmhouse and gift shop continue to be open until early December. |
| Directions: | From U.S. 23, use Exit 34 and drive west on U.S. 12 (Michigan Ave.) about 6 miles. The farm is near Industrial Drive (traffic light), sandwiched between the Sauk Trail Shopping Center and the auto parts plant. From I-94, use Exit 75 and follow Ann Arbor-Saline Road to downtown Saline. Turn left on Michigan Ave. (traffic light) and go about 1 mile to the farm. Free parking at the shopping center. Limited parking on the farm property. Follow directions. |
